This little town may be small, but it is safe. Out there, however...

The wilderness is a fearsome realm of danger and chaos. Regular townsfolk avoid the dark woods and the misty marshes. Regular townsfolk prefer to stay well within the boundaries of what is familiar and predictable.

But you are not regular townsfolk.

You are adventurers of the Everflame Collective!

Proud members of that honorable adventurers’ guild, you and your fellows are drawn together by your bonds of friendship, your love of exploration and discovery, and your willingness to help those in need.

Everflame adventurers protect each other and the community they serve. When people seek them out for assistance, Everflame adventurers move bravely toward the dangers that regular townsfolk would much rather avoid.

So venture onward, and may your bold and selfless deeds be hereafter recorded among the Chronicles of the Everflame Collective!

About

Chronicles of the Everflame Collective is a collaborative storytelling and roleplaying game for 2 to 7 players. You need pencils, paper, and a few six-sided dice to play the game.

All but one of the players take on the roles of epic fantasy Adventurers. These Adventurers are members of an adventurers’ guild known as the Everflame Collective, and during the game they team up to undertake a quest in service of their community. One player assumes the special role of Guide. The Guide presents the Adventurers with challenges to overcome.

​The Everflame system was designed based on several years of experience sharing RPGs with young people, so the system may be most helpful for teachers, parents, or others who want to share RPGs with their own groups of young people. The intent, however, was to design a “newcomer friendly” game for all ages — adults and kids alike.

Chronicle of the Broken Beacon

​The Adventurers encounter the town’s innkeeper, who is in a panic because everyone at the restaurant just turned to stone in the middle of their meal! Will our heroes clarify the cause and counteract the calamitous condition of the calcified customers?

Chronicle of the Calcified Customers

​The Adventurers encounter the town’s innkeeper, who is in a panic because everyone at the restaurant just turned to stone in the middle of their meal! Will our heroes clarify the cause and counteract the calamitous condition of the calcified customers?

Chronicle of the Floating Fortress

The Adventurers hear from a nervous group of local farmers. A floating island has drifted into the airspace above the farmlands, and its crumbling buildings are dropping enormous chunks of masonry across the landscape! Will our heroes fix the falling fragments and find a firm foundation for the floating fortress?

Chronicle of the Ghastly Gangsters

The owner of the general store asks the Adventurers to help stop a band of raiders who have been ambushing trade wagons along the road into town. Even worse, these bandits are undead! Will our heroes guarantee the greater good and get a grip on the ghastly gangsters?

Chronicle of the Homesick Hammer

Chronicle of the Lost Loot

The Adventurers are contacted by the Miners’ Exchange, an establishment where local prospectors can trade gems and precious metals, or store them for safekeeping. But, the basement vault at the Exchange has suffered a break in! Will our heroes look into this loathsome larceny and learn the location of the lost loot?

Chronicle of the Problematic Pastries

The Adventurers learn that a local baker has been kidnapped, and her captors have sent an ominous ransom note demanding an audience with representatives from the town! Will our heroes be able to prompt a productive parley and pick apart the puzzle of the problematic pastries?

Chronicle of the Withering Woodlands

The Adventurers are visited by an emissary of the guardians of the forest. A terrible blight has suddenly begun causing trouble for all the plants and animals who live there! Will our heroes wipe out whatever wickedness has woven its way into the withering woodlands?
