The wilderness is a fearsome realm of danger and chaos. Regular townsfolk avoid the dark woods and the misty marshes. Regular townsfolk prefer to stay well within the boundaries of what is familiar and predictable. But you are not regular townsfolk. You are adventurers of the Everflame Collective! Proud members of that honorable adventurers’ guild, you and your fellows are drawn together by your bonds of friendship, your love of exploration and discovery, and your willingness to help those in need. Everflame adventurers protect each other and the community they serve. When people seek them out for assistance, Everflame adventurers move bravely toward the dangers that regular townsfolk would much rather avoid. So venture onward, and may your bold and selfless deeds be hereafter recorded among the Chronicles of the Everflame Collective! |
About
Chronicles of the Everflame Collective is a collaborative storytelling and roleplaying game for 2 to 7 players. You need pencils, paper, and a few six-sided dice to play the game.
All but one of the players take on the roles of epic fantasy Adventurers. These Adventurers are members of an adventurers’ guild known as the Everflame Collective, and during the game they team up to undertake a quest in service of their community. One player assumes the special role of Guide. The Guide presents the Adventurers with challenges to overcome.
The Everflame system was designed based on several years of experience sharing RPGs with young people, so the system may be most helpful for teachers, parents, or others who want to share RPGs with their own groups of young people. The intent, however, was to design a “newcomer friendly” game for all ages — adults and kids alike.
